Tropic Thunder is a 2008 action comedy film directed by Ben Stiller and written by Stiller, Justin Theroux, and Etan Cohen. The film stars Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr. as a group of prima donna actors filming a Vietnam War film when their fed-up writer and director decide to abandon them in the middle of the jungle, forcing them to fight their way out.

Stiller initially had the idea for the film while shooting Empire of the Sun, and later brought on Theroux and Cohen to help him complete the script. After the film was greenlit in 2006, filming took place in 2006 on the Hawaiian island of Kauai over 13 weeks, and was deemed the largest film production in the island’s history. The film had a large marketing promotion, including showing numerous screenings, selling the fictional energy drink advertised in the film, and posting faux websites for the characters, films, and products shown within Tropic Thunder.

The film met controversy among the the disability advocacy community prior to its release on August 13, 2008. It received generally positive reviews with an 84% positive rating based on 146 reviews from critics at the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes and earned $26 million in its opening weekend.

You Don’t Mess with the Zohan is a 2008 comedy film. The story was written by Adam Sandler, Judd Apatow and Robert Smigel, and was directed by Dennis Dugan. Sandler’s production company Happy Madison produced the film, and Sony Pictures Entertainment distributed it. It was released on June 6, 2008. UK release date is August 15 2008.

The movie stars Adam Sandler as Zohan Dvir, a soldier in the Israeli counter-terrorism army commando who, after growing tired of his Israeli post-draft’s standing service, fakes his own death in order to pursue his dream: becoming a hairstylist in New York.

The first streaming video has been put up — its still a bit ruff and the other options we are going to use are not done yet, but you all have waited so long I decided to put up what we have for the time being… More moives etc. the rest of features will be added in the next few days.. and we will get chat going again soon also …

Kung Fu Panda is a 2008 animated film about a bungling panda who aspires to be a kung fu warrior. Kung Fu Panda is directed by John Stevenson and Mark Osborne and produced by Melissa Cobb. Although the concept of a kung fu panda has been around since at least 1993,[2] the idea for the film was conceived by Michael Lachance,[3] a DreamWorks Animation executive. Work on the film did not begin until 2004 and the film premièred at the 61st Cannes Film Festival in May 2008. The film was released internationally on June 6, 2008, but will be released in the United Kingdom on July 4, 2008. The film is distributed by Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks.

The film stars the voices of Jack Black, Jackie Chan, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, David Cross and Ian McShane. In the United States, it has been rated PG by the MPAA for sequences of martial arts action, and in the United Kingdom, PG by the BBFC.
